One of the funniest Carlin moments...
Easily, I just saw today one of the best BOB NEWHART scenes ever. I'll set the scene:
The scene is from the episode entitled "Think Smartly, Vote Hartley." Mister Carlin is just starting to feel better about his indecisiveness and presses the elevator button, and while waiting for the elevator talks to Bob about how good he feels. This is the hilarious part. Then both elevators open at the same time!  Without even speaking a word Elliott walks back into Doctor Hartley's office with Bob following him. You really have to see the episode to truly experience the moment!

I also enjoy "The Battle of the Groups" where Bob takes both his therapy groups (Mr. Carlin is in both!
) to a retreat in the woods. We find out then that Mr. Carlin is also a streaker!  Jack Riley's deadpan expressions throughout made the whole scene even funnier.Which season is "Think Smartly, Vote Hartley" from?? |

What a great show. Haven't actually gotten a chance recently to re-watch any of those season 1-4 episodes but I do hope seasons 5 and 6 eventually see a DVD release. Fox re-kindled the MTM releases so hopefully they'll do the same for Bob.

I sure hope so!! I want to see the rest of TBNS released, as well as the remainder of the 80s Newhart show. Are the folks at Shout! listening??
