Season 3 DVD question - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

In "Nobody but a Frog Knows How to Live" episode on the DVD, there is a strange fading out of the sound and picture when Samantha goes to the front window to see if Fergus the frog is coming back. Does anyone know what happened? Is Sony using syndicated episodes?

I believe SONY is using "uncut" episodes from their master negatives {approximately 26 minutes per episode}, but there was a sudden fadeout before this scene "ended". I haven't seen the DVD yet, so I couldn't tell you how this was handled, 'enjovid'.

That episode was released previously on video and in that particular spot the video simply jumps from Samantha going to the window to Durwood going to the backdoor....you can tell by the music that a little bit is missing but it's barely noticeable...on the DVD it seems that they realized there was like 1 or 2 seconds of film that weren't good so they decided not to use it...the fadeout is very disconcerting and I wish they would've done it like they have it on the video release.
