Anyone familiar w/ Ulead Moviefactory 3.5?? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I'm trying to put together my very first sets and I'm getting really frustrated,hopefully someone will take pity and give me a hint as to what I'm doing wrong. I am able to edit out commercials and get to the menu page and it is giving each CHAPTER its own menu instead of each SHOW gettting its own menu. When I first start out the project Ulead is automatically breaking the show down into chapters and I can't get the show "put back together" after this.

I see there is a merge button but it is not letting me click on this. Is there someway of stopping my show from getting broken down into chapters?? Or if I have to have the chapters, does anyone know how to get all the chapters back together again. Any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much,Rhonda

hi rhonda!

i'm sorry i can't help you with your specific problem but to make dvds, we use dvd studio pro and we don't have any problems at all... maybe you can try to use that too?

Have you tryed selecting the two sections that you want to merge and then hitting merge? I haven't played with that in a while but I'm pretty sure that's how you do it.

what format are your video files?

Are the in MPEG 2 format (as in from a captrure card) or are you trying to re-author from a DVD recorder disc?

I'm trying to get the info from a dvd take out the commercials and build menus. I will try to merge them this afternoon. Thanks so much for the input, I was really getting frustrated.Rhonda

Lesley-you should have Trapper today or tomorrow.Please let me know when it arrives
