OK so appearently there are a few sets of this series out there.
I've seen there is a 38 disc complete set floating around and today on Yahoo Auctions I noticed a 12 disc complete set for 54 dollars.I coulda sworn I saw a 9 disc set on someones trade list. Anyone here have either of these sets and tell me what the quality is like on each one?Apparently the Yahoo set says the picture quality is "one you will be pleased with",whatever that means.I think I've noticed the 38 disc set was 7/10 on traders lists. I'm probably looking to pick up this complete series in the next month or two and was wondering if anyone knows what the video quality difference is with these sets. This was a tremendously funny show and it's amazing it hasn't/wont be released on DVD.Too Bad. Thanks |

BOTH sets came from same source material
both are about a 7 in my book the 38 disc set has simple text menus the 12 disc set has simple menus ALSO i have a 12 disc set that was REDONE with custom menus both are ok but not great i would NOT take a 9 disc set as that seems WAY OVERCOMPRESSED |

I have the 38-disc set. The quality is about a 6 or 7, IMO. There are, however, several episodes (I've counted 16 so far) with either parts of the closing credits cut out or spliced-in credits from wrong episodes. Very disappointing.

I have a complete Dennis the Menace set that I created myself out of my own tapes. It's every episode and they're in broadcast order and in SP speed. They're also uncut as each episode is around 25 minutes. If you want a decent set that I did myself, come to the source.
