It was decided that Hit Me's rules were becoming a bit too complicated for some contestants to understand, which became a bit frustrating.
Hit Me's last playing was October 13th. R.I.P. 1980-2006 http://gscentral.net/hitme.htm |

i can understand that ive watched them play that game for years and i never could understand the rules so i can only imagine how the contestants felt getting stuck playing that game.

Hit Me had to be one of the easiest games on the show! lol All you had to do was pick a product that was a multiple of ten, then pick a product that was the exact price, and you'd won the game. It's simple elementary math!

I am surprised by this, along with the claim that it was too complicated. All you had to do was pick one exact price (a prime number, perhaps) and one dollar amount ending in zero for a face card, hence blackjack.
I've heard worse complaints about people not knowing how to play "Check Game," in which one has to write a check which, when added to the value of the prize, totals between $5000 and $6000. (I remember when the range was $3000-$3500! I also remember it sometimes being called "Blank Check"!) |
