Your quality media in the US is way cheaper than ours in the UK. a 50 pack of Sony cost me about $30 last week. Maxell is cheap as it is on offer.

Great prices on the Sony's
A couple weeks ago our new Staples had a grand opening and the Sony 50 packs were on sale for 12.98.For the grand opening they gave you a 10 dollar off coupon with purchases 25 dollars or more.I got two 50 packs of Sony for 15.96.

Also if anyone is a SAM'S CLUB member, they are now carrying Verbatim DVD-R 50 packs for $15! I noticed the other week they are no longer carrying the 100 spindle Verbatim DVD-R's for $37. Oh well!
They also stiill have the best price on Dual Layer media, Verbatim 30 packs for $56 |

Verbatim DVD+R DL are the only DL media worth getting, usually in the $2-4 range in the USA. Those $1 discs are junk discs, more often than not. Usually RITEK DVD+R DL. Yuck! I wish people would quit using low-quality junky DVDs.
For single-layer discs, the SONY is the best deal this week. |

If you check newegg.com you can get the Verbatim DVD+R DLs for between $25.00 to $35.00 for a 20pk.

Just checked, with shipping the Verbatim DL are about the same as Sam's. However New Egg is now running a $10 rebate until December

TDK???? I've never liked those, nor trusted them. As always, I would recommend www.supermediastore.com for Taiyo Yuden discs.

www.meritline.com appears to be owned by the same company, but has different stock in some cases. O_o

This morning I ordered 200 Taiyo Yuden 4x DVD-Rs from meritline.com for $49.99 with free Ground shipping. That's 25 cents each for Taiyo Yudens.

www.meritline.com and www.cdrdvdrmedia.com are owned by Comptree. Different companies. The different sites are sisters too, not clones (meaning you are not dealing with the exact same people at both sites, even if they are owned by the same company). They all have good prices, good stock, and should be a good experience. |
