Who got older siblings that you bragged to others about growing up? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I do. My oldest brother, Bill. I thought my brother Bill was the greatest. He seemed to do no wrong. He was an all-pro wide receiver in high school, he excelled in karate, he went to the Air Force. He always kept his cool. (But don't get him mad) Whenever there was a physical problem like breaking up a fight, we called on him. When he went off somewhere, I always wanted to tag along. He took me to my first live pro wrestling match. He even gave me my first driving lesson in his car. Yes, my brother Bill gave me a lot to brag about. Our father wasn't there for us.

I've always looked up to my older sister. She is two years older than me and I've always admired her.

pft, no. i have an older half sister, who's about 6 and a half years older than me. we basically just avoided each other after she hit 13, so we really just forgot about each other.
we're closer now obviously because we're older, but she's still not my favorite person.

I have an older brother five years older than me named Christian. I always looked up to him(I still do). I always wanted to tag along with him, he was so cool. He was into surfing and football and I was his biggest supporter(not including my mom).

He lives on the east coast now and I miss him dearly. I'm proud of everything he does, he's now a lawyer and he does a great job, I love him!!!

I've always looked up to my big brother, Chris. He used to take me out for ice cream and movies when I was a kid. He is still there for me when I need him or just to talk about life in general. He has a good sense of humor and loves his family, community and church and that makes me proud of him.

I'm kidding you though, I know what you mean, he was great, right? !

I'm sorry that your dad wasn't around, that makes it a lot tougher...but it sounds like your brother was, and is a great person to look up to!

Yes, I was also proud of my brother...he was really smart, and was the strongest kid in the neighborhood as well... he had his own lawn-cutting business for several years, had about a dozen regular customers, and then there were always people who needed their lawns cut when they went out of town during the summer... and I got to inherit most of his customers after he went on to other things (I was four years younger than he was), and back in the 70s, making $5-8 bucks a lawn was big, big money for a 12 year old!

Earlier, he also had the first paper route in the neighborhood... I'd help him out with that because I got home from school about an hour before he did, so I'd deliver papers for our closest neighbors/customers.

He knew all about cars, he wasn't into watching sports nearly as much as I was, but he'd play football, basketball and baseball with us...

We played some great chess games over the years as well!

His first car was a stick, so I "learned" how to drive a stick early in life... he was really patient with me as I stalled his car what seemed like a million times (I'm sure in reality, it was only a few)...

Great memories growing up! We had our share of fights I guess, but what brothers DON'T??
