I always wondered why the show had so many cast changes. It would make for an interesting E True Hollywood story.

I'd love to see that but the show didn't have enough controversy for an "E True Hollywood Story"....no druggies, wife-beaters, or alcoholics on the show.

Well, not that I know of anyway.

Didn't Missy Gold get busted for shoplifting a Disco Chicken album or some thing one time. No wait that happened to Katie on one of the episodes. Seriously as far as the original subject,Why so many cast changes there could have been a number of reasons for this. These may be hypothetical for Benson but they are commen in the industry. One would be that a cast member may fear being typecast in a roll although few actors are willing to quit a successful series and fare go the finical security that a steady pay check provides. Another reason would be when contract time comes around a leading roll actor my hold out for a pay increase at that point the producers may decide to cut one or more of the supporting rolls and transfer the money to the actor who received the pay increase and then bring in new creators who are paid far less than the established actors on the series. Actors may also leave for personal reasons and some times the writers and producers simply decide that a creator has run their coarse and just write them of the show. I hope I've been of some help with this and please forgive me for my weird since of humor.
