Default late 3rd season episodes aired out of order?

Does anyone know why some of the last 10 or so episodes of the 3rd season alternate between (c) 1966 and (c) 1967 copyright dates in the closing credits?

As an example, the final episode 98 has a "(c) 1966" copyright date in the closing credits, while the preceding episode 97 has a "(c) 1967" copyright date in the closing credits...

I'm assuming this is because the network aired them out of order from when they were shot, maybe "burning off" the presumably weaker episodes later in the season.

Any thoughts?

I could tell just from the hair and stuff that the shows were not aired in the order in which they were filmed. I don't know the exact reason *why* they were shown "out of order" though. (Not that it makes that much difference in GI!)

LOL! THe Producer-creator title is returned to S.Schwartz with no executive producer vis a vis the latter epsidoes, a return to pre-January 1967 episodes (this was dealt with in other threads by ph1l and others).

Warner Bros.Cartoons, right when World War II ended, suffered a Technicolor(R) backlog, maybe a conneciton there, with the shortages going for the war effort there, so Cinecolor (the DeLuxe Labs of its time, regarded as generally inferioir to Tech.) processed a numebr of Warner toons but NOT Bugs--he was too singinifcant by that time (it DID cause the same confusion dealt with here with the staff credits going to plain 1947-1953 Technciolor letters---contrast these with those of " earlier Associated Artists Productions (the "a..a.p." guys who had that blue background for many years on teleivison and theatrical reisssue syndication!) 1944's "Hare Trigger", the first WB cartoon to have full staff credits and director (NOT Supervision) credit, which had fancy smancy lettering. Also some later Warner shorts, early ones in the package always WB-owned vis-a-vis the earlier "a.a.p." package like "The Pest That came to dinner'--the Porky and termite and canine exterminator one--have wierd looking smaller staff lettering (Mel Blanc,Carl Stlaling, etc. credits0, revealing their being older.)

And I'm sure you know of the (keeping it Sherwood Schwartz-sitocm related) the early Cousin Oliver episodes of Brady Buny which were written out of order but filemd the right order then rebroacast in the original "
wong " one, of on topic for this MessageBoard, the fight over which is first Gilligan.

Disney filmed a couple of Mickey short slike "Plane Crazy" (1928) before their milestone sound "talkie" (as they were then tagged by the media, the public & the media) "Steamboat Willie", then the others released out of order.

THen there are the first batch of "Flinstones" released out of order, as well as the many movies held over (and "Lord of the Ringsd" was finished by its director peter Jackson in ALL installment but held over so folks wouldn';t sit through 12 houts of Forodo and GolluM! Can you imagine the whole LotR troligy released all in one flim?)
Many films by studios get released in different order than produced...
