what do you think about these mysteries?
UFO's - Aliens - Bermuda Triangle - Who Built the Pyramids in Egypt - Atlantis - Ghosts - Time Traveling - Big Foot - Loch Ness Monster - Did we go to the moon? - Face on Mars - UFO's - They have Aliens in them Aliens - They are in Ufo's and the goverment is covering it up. Bermuda Triangle - Dunno exactly something to do with Atlantis. Who Built the Pyramids in Egypt - Aliens Atlantis - In the atlantic ocean and sunk into the ocean. Ghosts - There out there...... Time Traveling - I never really thought about this until i heard it discussed on Artbell(Artbell is a radio show every night about the unexplained) Artbell had a scientist on talking about how it could be possible to be able to time travel..... I dont think there is any time traveling now... maybe in the future there will be... Big Foot - another Creature we havn't discovered Loch Ness Monster - Fake Did we go to the moon? - Nope, They had a special on Fox about this awhile ago.... Main clue is that in the video of the astronauts on the moon it shows them sticking a flag into the moon and the flag is waving when there is no air on the moon. Face on Mars- Created by Aliens a few hundred years ago...... What do you all think of this? If you are interested in these sort of mysteries you can go to artbell.com and check out his site and listen to his radio program..... he has video on his site from someone who got into Area 51 with a video camera and got back out without being noticed and he posted a clip from the video on his site(Clip shows some kind of doctors tending to an Alien) Anyway respond all! |

Interesting topic. Here's what I think, can't wait to see others' replies.
UFO's - Well UFO's are simply unidentified objects, which of course exist. However, I am not so sure if aliens are buzzing by our planet all the time. I do believe some stories, but others are patently ridiculous. Aliens - I believe they exist, somewhere. If you believe the idea that our universe is infinite and expanding, I simply don't see how we could be the only planet where life evolved. But as I said I don't believe they are visiting us all the time, and I only believe about 5% of the abduction stories I've heard. And I don't believe there is other life in our solar system. Bermuda Triangle - Don't really know much about this one, but I believe it is something that can be explained scientifically. There are many interesting theories out there that sound pretty plausible. Who Built the Pyramids in Egypt - PEOPLE! Personally I think it's quite absurd to think aliens built them because those cultures were "primitive" and mankind is unable to build structures like that. I think that is ridiculous. It is entirely possible that we simply can't imagine how they were built because we don't work in stone like that anymore. We have so many machines to aid in our back-breaking work that our minds have atrophied when it comes to how we could have built the pyramids. But more plausible theories emerge all the time about how it could have been done. I think we need to give our ancestors credit on this one. Besides, if aliens built them then they built a whole lot of other crap on our planet too, like the ziggurats of the Mayas and Aztecs, like half the anicient wonders of the world, and others. People used to think that aliens built Stonehenge too, but some people in England did this test or whatever, they actually erected some stones the same size as at Stonehenge and did it only with the stone, themselves, and wood. That to me is pretty convincing evidence that these things aren't miracles or aliens messing with our planet. Atlantis - I don't really know anything about it. I think it was probably simply a city that got buried under the sea, much like LA could be one day, if it breaks off in an earthquake or something. Not much of a mystery there. Ghosts - I whole-heartedly believe in ghosts. Time Traveling - Don't know really. I am more inclinded to believe the theories that travelling backwards in time could be possible, but that travelling to the future is impossible. I forget all the scientific reasons why this theory was suggested, but I read about it in some science magazine or something and it was interesting. Big Foot - I beleive that Big Foot could have possibly existed at some time in the past, but not now. I simply refuse to belive that something that big has survived for so long and we haven't been able to really find convincing evidence of its existence. Keep in mind that for Big Foot to be around for as long as people have been seeing him, it very likely could not be the same creature. There would have to be a breeding population for them to be around for so long, which means there would have to be lots of Big Foots running around that have somehow managed to evade human encroachment, which spreads to just about every corner of North America. Loch Ness Monster - See Big Foot. Except change North America to one tiny loch in Ireland and it becomes even more improbable. Did we go to the moon? - Well I admit that in my mind the verdict was out for a bit. Some of the ideas about why we didn't go are "things that make you go hmmm" But after researching more, I think I have to say that yes, we have been to the moon. Every piece of "evidence" about why we didn't go has been explained by scientists. Sorry, but I'll believe the scientists over the Flat-Earth theorists any day of the week. (Although I do admit that it is an intersting subject to ponder.) Face on Mars - I think it is simply a random ordering of geographical phenomena that humans, in their infinite whimsy, imagination, and ego(?) have seen a human face in. Much the same way that we see a man in the moon, shapes in the clouds, and Elvis on our potatoes. [This message has been edited by Bootsy Whoosh (edited 10-30-2001).] |

Consider one of the newest, and widely regarded as one of the most probable theories: wind power. The Egyptians could have used kites and the wind to raise the bricks to the height they needed. Field experiments have been tried to test this theory, and they have been successful at raising blocks of the same weight, to the same height, using only the wind and kites constructed out of materials available to the Egyptians. Few things are impossible to human imagination and inginuity, I think. |

UFO's: I f you're young enough to still be able to disappoint and rattle your parents, tell them you want to be a UFOLOGIST when you grow up. Be sure to know a few bits of pertinent information to convince them of your sincerity. Once you've begun the charade you can keep it going indefinately. They'll be so relieved when you tell them you were kidding, that your next major foul-up will be more easily forgiven.
Atlantis: Plato was a very inteligent fellow. He might have made the whole thing up to amuse himself. Ghosts: God can exist but ghosts can't? That doesn't seem fair! Lochness: I don't think so. Moon: There is no wind but there is not much gravity either. The flag wasn't apt to just hang there. Besides, if you think the government put on such an elaborate hoax as landing on the moon why is it hard to believe thay wouldn't find some way to make the flag flop around for dramatic effect? Time travel: The position of the stars as we see them, actually took place about seven years ago. I don't know if that says anything about time travel, but it does make it seem not so unlikely. I do find going backward more plausible then going forward though. Aliens: I don't know. See (Time Travel). If aliens are looking for us or have found us, and they don't live in this solar system, (pretty big in itself) they have an awful long way to travel in order to say hello. Big Foot: White man wiped out nearly everything in about one hundred years. I don't see how he could have overlooked that guy. Pyramids: From pbs.org: "The Real Pyramid Builders, an archeological dig on the Giza Plateau, a graveyard for the pyramid builders, proves that the workers were not slaves but rather workers and artisans valued for their skills." My conclusion: dedicated people built the pyramids. Why we would want to hand the credit for that feat off to someone else is beyond me. Bermuda Triangle: People love to believe a good fish tale and much has been written to disprove that one. Some of it's origins are based on misunderstandings that evolved into "fact" in the same manner that Richard Jewel was stuck with being the 'olympic bomber' way beyond the time that the evidence showed otherwise. |

Aliens - They exist. They're people who come into the United States illegally. Bermuda Triangle - fun nightclub on the beach Who Built the Pyramids in Egypt - All right, I'll confess. I built them. Atlantis - My science experiment, gone wrong Ghosts - I call them angels. Time Traveling - What I wish I could do so I could go back and do a much better job studying for my sociology midterm ![]() Big Foot - My science project, gone wrong Loch Ness Monster - Wasn't this a monster on Sesame Street? Did we go to the moon? - I went to the moon last summer. It was a nice place. Face on Mars- I created it after I created the pyramids {B}What do you all think of this? {/B} You're out to reveal some of my deepest, darkest secrets, aren't you? ![]() |

UFO'S - Just a bunch of Sci-Fi geeks letting their imaginations run wild. There is no other intelligent life in our solar system so if there really were UFO's they'd need to travel for light years to get here. C'mon, Earth isn't that brilliant that some other life form is gonna travel for aeons to get here! ALIENS - there is other life out there but it's millions and millions of light years away from earth. Thus the chances of us ever finding this other intelligent life is very thin. BERMUDA TRIANGLE - very mysterious. I dunno. WHO BUILT THE PYRAMIDS - people. ATLANTIS - I don't know anything about Atlantis. It's some city that's supposed to be on the bottom of the sea, isn't it? I dunno about this one. GHOSTS - I believe in paranormal activities - poltergeists and such - but I'm not freaked out about it. Nobody truly understands ghosts and the afterlife and all that, and I'm of the opinion that people shouldn't mess with stuff they don't understand. Hence the reason why you'll NEVER find me playing around with a oujjia board! TIME TRAVELLING - It's a known fact that time travel is possible. Whether we'll ever master it is a whole different story. BIG FOOT - Entirely possible. There are a lot of species out there that we haven't discovered yet. Who's to say that there isn't giant ape-like creatures living in the mountains? LOCH NESS MONSTER - Being a Scot I'm quite fond of the whole 'Nessie' legend. Whether Nessie is real or not, I don't know. With the amount of people who've gone out on Loch Ness over the years trying to catch her, I would have thought that at least someone would have found some real evidence by now. There are a lot of ideas attempting to explain the presence of Nessie. The one about her being an incredibly old creature evolved from the time of the dinosaurs is the most plausible. I believe there is something in Loch Ness - whether it is a monster or not, I don't know... DID WE GO TO THE MOON - Personally, I don't believe so. What I mean is, I don't believe that we landed on the moon back in the 60's like 'they' would have us believe. I don't doubt that men have landed on the moon since then but I don't believe we were there as early as the 1960's. I'm not one for conspiracy theories but think of how much money would have gone into the so-called moon landing......and think how much certain people in the know could have used the money for other, not so acceptable, stuff. It would be perfectly easy to make the people think that their tax dollars were going towards the moon landing while, in reality, grubby politicians were using it for their own gain. Did you ever see that episode of 'Just Shoot Me' when Nina and Mya were arguing about the authenticity of the moon landing? Nina said that the black glass on the 'astronauts' helmets was there so you couldn't see the actors inside giggling! ------------------ "This life has been a test. If it were an actual life you would have recieved instructions on where to go and what to do." - Angela, 'My So-called Life' "...everything was there and around us. We knew exactly who we were and exactly where we were going. It was grand." - Gordie, 'Stand By Me' "First you gotta do the Truffle Shuffle!" - Mouth, 'The Goonies' |

I'm not really sure what I'm suppose to
say about this because I have a hard time believing in most of those things. Out of the whole list, I'm only really interested and fascinated with the Bermuda Triangle and Atlantis. I find it trully amazing that a whole city can sink into the ocean. As far as the Bermuda Triangle, I do believe it but I think the government knows a little bit about it and is not giving out information about it or covering up details about it, that's what I think at least! |

UFO-Hmmmm....maybe, but 99.999999% of them are def. fake.
Aliens-I think they prob. exist. I mean, the universe is so big that I don't think we'd be the only planet to have life. Bermuda Triange- FAKE! A Reporter in Florida came up with this. The planes that evidently disappeared there during WWII I think crashed into the swamps of Florida....some of those swamps will remove traces of things withen a few days. Who Built the Pyramids- Egyptians. It's possible with ramps and pulleys, and a Greek wrote down as witnessing one being built, and it took 30 years from what he says Atlantis-I think it existed, though it's overeleberated. It was proboly amazing to them, and an island in the Mediterranian may be the real thing. The death rays can be explained, a Greek invented them (Or If It's True, Reinvented Them) in 2?? BC using mirrors to reflect the sun, and the rings of land are possible Ghosts-Exist Time Travel- Don't Know Big Foot- Maybe, But 90% possibility of it not existing. Nessie-Nope Did We Go to the Moon-Not Sure. Those Rays Would Prob. Kill Face on Mars-See, This Lady Was So Ugly that when Mars saw her it stuck in it's mind... Anyway, I think it's conrincidence. |

Atlantis - a city that got caught in a baaaaaad hurricane Ghosts - they are real, I think Time Traveling - Now that scientists have broken the speed of light, possibly Big Foot - Um...I don't know Loch Ness Monster - I half-heartedly believe, but Karli, being like, 45% Scottish or sumthin like that, She believes... Did we go to the moon? - Uh...WE didn't, Neil Armstrong did though... Face on Mars - doubt it ------------------ ~*~ Jilli Bean ~*~ This isn't Karli, it's her friend Jillian
