D. J.'s Godfather is a friend of the families. Joey is Stephanie and Michelle's Godfather. Pam, their mom, her friend Judy is D. J., Stephanie, and MIchelle's Godmother. I got this information on the Full House Chronology.

On what episodes did the Chronology base this information?

Mostly deductive logic.

We know Donna Jo was named by Joey - Stephanie is a more common modern name, as is Michelle (and Elizabeth.) Judith (Judy), however, is a name much more common to the middle part of the 20th century, when Pam would have been born. There are Judys (Judies?) born since the 1980s, but not many. Judy was likely a friend of Pam's.

Not all friends, of course, stick around after high school. Pam got married right after her prom - eloping, in fact. She and Danny would probably need to have a witness for each, and Judy could well have been the one to stand up for Pam. She probably went to college then got a job - but since she was already godmother (if you have named someone a godfather you will also name someone a godmother) to D.J. it would make sense for Pam not to choose someone else. I know of a couple cases where the godparent(s) moved across the country.

Interestingly, the mother of Ian (a family friend whose son is a year olde rthan Stephanie mentioned in one book) could have been chosen, as they lived closer. I think it just made more sense since Judith is an older name, and Judy could ogically have been the name of a close friend of Pam's.

(I am curious as to how many of those wondering "where someone went" are in their teens. I remember that age, thinking friendships wouldn't drift apart and we'd never get jobs in different places. Alas, most of my friends did, and I now have a new set, though my old friends and I write back and forth. Same with family firends - when you have kids, your life changes, those with kids who I used to hang out with all the time I don't see much of even when they're in the same town. This isn't even taking into account how much of their lives we don't see.)
