TV Remembering the Classic Days of Nick at Nite

After seeing discussions of so many old shows on here, it really makes me miss a lot of the the black & white classics that used to air on Nick at Nite and the respect the channel used to show them. Getting to stay up late to watch the shows was always a treat for me and I really miss not only the shows but the cute spots in between them. With a little searching I can find episodes of many of these series, but I would be really interested and finding any tapes taped off of Nick at Nite from the 1980s – 1992, with commercials and the schedules of upcoming shows intact. I know this is a weird request but if anyone has anything like this, please let me know.

I have some tapes in my collection of classic Nick shows and specials and hopefully we can work out a trade. Even if you don’t have anything with the commercials intact still let me know as many of the shows are still hard to find.

You can e-mail me at jbstapes@aol.com

BUT NOW nick at nite is more like THE LATE 80s AT NITE
and TVLAND is the same old shows over and over and over

i miss theold days when they played REAL Classics
and a LITTLE bit of "variety"

Why do they keep certain shows on for ever? I mean I love LITB and Andy Griffith Show (reminds me of my days coming home from school and catching them in reruns on the 2 or 3 US cable channels we used to get back then) but c'mon !!! Enough is Enough already !!

I think it's about time they launch another classic TV network

I'd go for that.

With the popularity of DVD releases they should be able to see there is a market for this type of specialized programming. I bet a lot has to do with buying the rights to certain shows that's why we don't see a lot of variety in the programming

well the western marathons DO attract an audience--- i just wish we would get ANYTHING other than bonanza and gunsmoke all day

some of the shows like Sanford, Good Times, I Love Lucy--- I love them all, BUT I HAVE THE WHOLE SET on retail studio dvd sets, and most of the fans do too-- how about mixing it up a little?

Westerns were very popular. In the early 60's, one year had 23 westerns on in prime time. Western fans are very loyal fans, their interest never waning and most important they will buy. I find them to be very serious, hard core followers, never deviating. If they liked westerns growing up, they still do and want to see their early favorites.

Thanx Harv. I got me an answer!

I feel bad saying stuff abt Westerns, considering my late father LOVED THEM. He watched them anytime they were on. My taste, I just couldn't get into them. The closest I have ever gotten to anything remotely in that category is Little House on the Praire (not a western but still).

This may be a tough pill to swallow but many feel the same way about the Jeffersons. 72 hours of George and Louise could cause more then just pain. Again it's taste.
