Question on season 1 and before - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Question. Someone on another forum (non Lucy) is saying that there were 5 episodes before what we know as season 1 of I Love Lucy, making it really 7 seasons. According to this person, Frawley and Vance were not on board and they had different neighbors. I know about the lost episode that didn't have them, but were there 4 others? In this, Desi played Raul and not Ricky.

Whoever wrote that is either trying to pull somebody's leg or has no idea what they're talking about. You are correct that the only episode before season 1 was the pilot episode. Desi's character was never called Raul. Originally, the characters were going to be called Lucy and Larry Lopez, but by the time the pilot was shot they were Lucy and Ricky Ricardo.
