As of right now, no. If you have a DVD recorder and "TV ONE", I would just record them and keep them in the collection. It is what I intend to do.

TV One airs 227 uncut,so taping the episodes from there is good idea. They air the "Jackee" pilot from season 4 with the original opening/closing credits.
The closing credits used to be announcer free, but unfortunately a few months ago they started using them. Still no split screen or squashed credits like TV Land does. |

I am doubtful as it has been over two years since the first release. Another poster provided unconfirmed inside information about the sales being way below projected numbers and future releases being cancelled. In my opinion, the show was not marketed heavily like Roseanne and The Cosby Show releases were so when you do that, don't be surprised at the dismal results. Hopefully, another company will acuquire the rights and bring it on out!

But see, the same thing happened with "The Mary Tyler Moore Show". It was 2 or even 3 years until season 2 came out, because the co. had not liked how season 1 didn't sell well at all---but it was so expensive, and not really advertised, so what do you expect?
But then things changed, and now we're happily awaiting word on season 5. 5! So it can happen! I'm going to write to the co. behind the 227 DVDs and express my concern over this, pointing out what happened with MTM as evidence that you shouldn't always give up---but I'm not going to write until January, when things are slower for everyone. |
