Does anyone else think it was weird that the grocery store robbers managed to pull off so many robberies without getting caught? It just seems like they would have slipped up some time.
Also, does anyone know of any updates on this one. There doesn't seem to be a lot of discussion on this case in the history of this forum. thanks |

Nothing funny about armed robbery but I thought it was amusing how suspect #2 gave the employee's hotdog buns for comfort and coats to keep them warm.

Well as far as I know these guys were never caught. I could be wrong. They did over 30 robberies didnt they? If I remember right from the segment it was 30 to 35 robberies over about a 5 year period. Well it was obvious from the segment as the cops said that the leader of the two man team was the more calculating, aggressive and threatening one of the pair. The follower apperared to be much more compassionate with people. I do think that is a very unique quality on his part in terms of being compassionate and putting hot dog buns under people's chins for comfort while they were hog tied on the floor and getting coats for them to keep them warm. I was talking with a guy from WAshington state the other night and he had never heard of these guys but he said he would ask his parents and his friends parents to see if they remember them. He lives in southwestern, WAshington. I asked him about Aberdeen, Washington which was the robbers first hit. He said Aberdeen is far out of the way and is kind of out of the way. That led me to believe that the robbers probably lived either in Olympia or the Seattle area or in western Washington since Aberdeen is on the western coast of Washington and is so far out of the way. I do think they either moved their robberies to a different part of the country because of the publicity or laid low for a long time because the publicity was too much and they were waiting for it to die down. Or maybe they just stopped for fear of getting caught? However I strongly doubt the last one. It seems like stopping would be tough to do once you had got away with it so many times. But I never heard of these guys being caught. Anyone know anything different or have any other opinions?

Have you had any updates on these grocery robbers 1987-1992?It was mentioned that they may have moved to a different part of country.I am very interested as I have been investigating similar robberies from 1993 in my part of country.
I would appreciate any help you may have as to the names of businesses that these two robbed there in your beautiful North West. |
