I noticed that JJ used that term a few times when fighting with Thelma. There were different variations of it. My favorite was, "You have got some nerve you old Chiquita Bannana!"

I liked that too. Another one I liked was when JJ said, " You got some nerve you ole Frankenstein Dracula, I don't wanna hear that!" |

That's the only part I don't like about Good TImes is JJ calling THelma ugly even though she's very pretty

I always wondered was that a Jimmie Walker ad-lib or something? It was almost like he was making it up as he went along. Every time it was a "YOU got SOME NERVE you OLD . . .(fill in the blank)"-LOL. Some of the things he said were pretty funny, but they were sometimes hard to hear because at that point they'd both start yelling at each other and have to be broken up. I do wonder if it was ad libbed, though?

Even though JJ and Thelma's insults grew tiring after awhile, they were realistic. How many brothers and sisters DO NOT go for each other's throats?
I think they were among the most realistic brother/sister duos on TV.
