The 80s. Those preppie fuzzy sweaters. I use to wear sweaters like they worn back in 1987. True story. Yep, including the diamond shaped sweaters. But who would it be out of the three Hogan brothers? Man, I watched this show from the beginning to end. Including the Sandy Duncan years as well. But for both Valarie/Hogan years, which brother seemed to be the most 80s? Remember, I like to see people post crazy here. I am all ears.

Oh, Jason Bateman. I guess those sweaters and preppie look was started by him before Zack Morris stoled it.

Unless you count Mark's mullet days...Business in the front Party in the back Though Jason Bateman has been around for three shows he starred in: Silver Spoons, It's Your Move, and The Hogan Family, he is pretty much the 80s original teen con artist/slacker/sneaky bad kid who dresses preppie, glamorizes himself, and picks up girls for himself. I could see how Mark Paul-Gosselaar's character is a little inspired by him. Though the difference is that Jason did it better unlike Mark's Zack Morris character. The comic timing and the dramatic moments he did in some episode was perfection. I especially love the moment between Sandy and him when he looks at a photo of his mother. I was especially moved by that. When the tears were swelling in his eyes, I just cried. I know, I shouldn't and there was a mean joke in that episode, but Jason's performance was perfect. I especially loved the sheer delight about his character. I especially loved the dream segment in the Holloween episode. Sounds cheesy, I know, but Jason is a very good actor. I especially like him in Dodgeball.....he is so funny. |
