Default The one thing that became OLD and TIRED on this show was George trying to

MAKE MORE MONEY by trying to get a contact from this person or another cleaning contract from this person. Once it was already established that he was financially comfortable I saw no need to constantly have episodes of him trying to make more and more money. They should have went in other directions like him going to a Mets Game or him and weezy going to Dinner. Not just the same ole-"I trying to get MORE MONEY".

Now that I read this, yeah, it was old and tired. No matter what the scenario could have been, there would be a small reference of him making money. I guess once he had it, he wanted to be able to make more. But still as far as storylines were concerned, there were so many other options.

what y'all fail to understand is that the man hated being poor so bad that he felt he needed to constantly make deals so that he reassure himself that he won't be in that situation ever....plus i also think it was an epidemic....the game of hustle....even though he didn't have to, it was fun to do.

By the 80's we shouldn't have been hearing about his money anymore

I actually liked the fact that he was always in a scheme to make more money. I always enjoyed them because while watching I am always looking forward to seeing what kind of crazy things he will do just to get a cleaning contract or two. It was also amusing to see how Louise and the Willises always took so long to figure out that he was using them or acting different just to make a deal.

They did curb his ambitiousness a bit. He didn't open any other stores after The Grand Opening at the start of season 4.

I agree with lil Weezy, he was scared of becoming poor again, remember the dream he had about the roaches in the ghetto waving at him and saying "welcome back".. he was so afraid of being poor again that he wanted to earn every dollar that he could to ensure his wealth
