Looking at the "The Most I most admire" ep and he was letting his education background stop him from getting the job. Since he had at 6th grade education, he saw no point in going. But Fred Sanford was completely on Job Interview when asked about his education and how high was it Fred said

Lady: Did you to college?

Fred: Almost

LOL

So James should have watched Sanford and Son with his Kids(Thelma and Michael stated they watched Sanford and Son) so he go to that Interview with the same confidence. And We all know that SLOW BUS SERVICE was BULLSH*T-lol
