Opening theme oddities... - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Little odds and ends I noticed since they played the long theme this morning.....

1. The lyric "The more you learn the less you know...." Huh????

2. Obvious one from the normal theme, the ball Willie throws at the camera is superimposed. I guess to really throw it at the camera would be costly if it broke.

3. It starts with them playing softball, but when the title comes up, they're picnicking, and Michael is holding a football.

4. Lucky Mike hit the ball to right field where Sandy was stationed. If it was to left she'd have to run half a mile to go get it, lol. That would get old in a hurry.

5. When David scores his goal, he's wearing a helmet. When he skates to a stop to wave, his helmet is now gone.

6. And in the Valerie credits, he's a basketball player. In the Hogan Family one, it's hockey.

7. The boys are washing the car *in the middle of the street*. Who does this? How inconsiderate to block traffic

8. Minor observation: Reading Mike's lips in the ski portion, he says "I"ll meet you there," to Dave.

9. In the opening of Valerie's credits, there's a shaggy dog next to the picnic table. However there's no dog on the show, as it had died early in season 1, or someone on this board had mentioned.

10. They actually went back to the exact kind of football opening in the last year, when the dad moves in.

11. For a family that just lost a mother, they're having a lot of fun at that picnic. Ok, they're moving on.

That superimposed softball looks so utterly cheesy it's not funny. I liked how the Valerie football in the air was real.

Did anyone else notice that abcfamily plays the Extended Theme Song on some episodes?
