Post Why did Michael say Black people are always supposed to eat FRIED CHICKEN?-LOL-LOL

I was watching the ep the other night when J.J was dating the rich girl and when he heard Clarissa's family lived in a expensive neighborhood he says-

"That's where the all the Rich Blacks live and eat their chicken BROILED"

So according to Michael, if you are black you are never supposed to try to eat different types of chicken whether it's baked or brolied or grilled, it must always be fried if you are black. Michael was ODD-lol

Michael in these early seasons was the militant midget, so, his going against the "norm" of poor black folk was what he was doing when saying such idiotic stuff.

So according to Michael's comment, do you mean to tell me that poor black people don't eat their chicken broiled? Or that supposedly wealthy black people DON'T eat fried chicken? Stupid writers I tell you.

I would really like to know what black folk (rich and poor) thought abt those comments. Seriously. If anything, he may have been talking "for the poor blacks" but he was also speaking for all other groups as well. Those comments are like saying "poor mexicans eat only beans." "poor white people only eat mac and cheese."

Which was their course of action when GT was in production. Having an adult say such ludicrous sh*t wouldn't fly...make the child say it and it's FUNNY...NOT!

Michael was a little too militant as a kid. Some of his comments were out of left field.

I kind of agree with Michael on that one because why did he have to put clean towels in the bathroom just because a White person was in the house. It should be for when ANYONE came in the house as a Guest not just a White person

It had nothing to do with her being white, it had to do with a soroity coming to pay Thelma a visit.

No what I'm saying is why would Florida tell Michael to run real fast put up clean towels?-lol she didn't say that Ernie, James friend, came to the house. So Michael was trying to figure out why his mother was rolling out the red carpet for the girl just because she was white

Again, it had nothing to do with her being white. It had to do with something Florida thought would be positive for Thelma's school.
