AMC is my main show I watch as they constantly push the unlikeable and selfish character of Babe down our throat. It's so ridiculous that characters who are written to be hated are pushed as likable characters(ie. Bianca is civil and fawns over her after she stole her baby for nine months and now is trying to push her brother to have a relationship with her). I've read several boards with the Die Babe Die! theme in them. The fans hate this character and the writers instead of running with it ignore this and damage other popular characters by acting like she's the town's misunderstood saint even when she has extramarital affairs it's always someone elses fault as she never has consequences for her actions.

Anyway other choices of mine are GH's Carly, Sony, and Jason. I don't like Todd or Vicki from OLTL either. What are your picks?

Hey I just happend to be searching the internet and saw your thread and wanted to comment. Even though I'm a Babe fan I totally agree but Sonny is by far better then Babe. Okay I realize that when he first came on the show he raped Karen Wexler yes but IMO the only reason why the Sonny character has gone down hill is because of the Sonny and Carly pairing. Everyone knows Vanessa Marcil is the only actress alive who has amazing chemistry with Maurice Benard who plays Sonny. Sonny and Brenda are the supercouple of General Hospital not Sonny and Carly and when the Sonny and Carly finally realize that Carly is nothing compared to Brenda they will get it. I for one am waiting for Las Vegas to be cancelled because I'am sick and tired of the writers putting Sonny with women he just not have the same amount of passion with that he has with Brenda.

And besides now with Rick Lansing on the show there are fans liking him and IMO Rick is no better then Sonny he is just as sick and if not much sicker then Sonny IMO. He locked Carly in a Panic Room with the intent of taking her baby and then he was going to kill her. He fed his wife Liz at the time birth control pills so she wouldn't get pregnant he almost tried to suffocate her in the hospital and maybe soon down the road he is going to use his daughter Molly as a way to get back at Sonny. He's already jealous of Jason and he feels as if Alexis loves Kristina more then Molly which is so not true. Kristina loves Rick and Rick is probably going to do something to hurt Kristina because of his obsession with her Dad his brother Sonny if anybody on GH should STFU and drop dead it should be Rick more then Sonny. I mean just because Rick is DA and Sonny's a Mob Boss doesn't mean Rick is any better DA or no DA Rick is a sick sick sick man.

I really, really like soft and tender Ric, but creepy vindictive Ric angers me deeply! I hate how they make him so evil sometimes! Alexis deserves somebody good, and I feel so sorry for her....Ric's a jerk!

Don't know if this counts, but the character of Valerie on Beverly Hills 90210. I felt like they wanted us to like her, so they had her "think abt suicide"...Stupid!!!!!! Not to mention other stuff abt her that I thought was stupid.

I'll join you saying Babe is the character I like least and wish the writers would quit trying to force on fans. Her slate has been wiped clean and the 'sins' of others either keeps growing, or are repeated over and over by all other characters. I really think Bianca's return is being wasted on Babe. I really don't get this character.

Maybe Ridge is well but maybe we are supposed to hate him.
The same for Sonny,Carly,Jason and Sam on GH-which I seldom watch anymore.

On B&B, Brad Bell is obsessed with ramming Brooke and Ridge down viewer's throats.

Hardly any other character has a storyline if they are not involved in propping up Brooke.

Wait a sec. Sonny did NOT rape Karen Wexler. Poor Karen had just recalled how she had been sexually abused by a disgusting pig her mom had dated, and was suffereing. Karen had been unable to have physical relations with Jagger ( I think that's what his name was? ), and after she recalled the abuse, wanted to get away. Sonny did take her to bed, but it was implied that they never had intercourse, but did other things that she felt comfortable with.
As a survivor of abuse, I can tell you how important it is to be able to feel pleasure and enjoyment with a man; and I am grateful to the men who spent time with me, understanding that I wasn't ready for intercourse, but went slowly with me.

That was a difficult storyline for me to watch, and it came at the same time as Marty Saybrook's rape. So I got a double dose of something horrible that reminded me of the horror that I suffered.

Of course, you could call it statutory rape, because Karen was underage. Sonny could've gone to jail for that, yes. But Karen wasn't going to press charges.

Also, yes, Karen had become a stripper at his club --though she never really stripped much clothes off. She liked the power of deciding how much, how little. But later, she decided that it was sick, because the audience was IMAGINING her naked, or IMAGINING sex with her, and told Sonny off:
'Those men are doing God knows what to me in their heads!"

YEAH, Einstein. They do that to strippers.

Don't wait for Vanessa Marcil to come back. She only did so to enhance herself, and get a bigger, better deal from NBC. But maybe she will need a GH boost again.

Besides, I prefer the Carly-Sonny relationship to that with the needy, sick women. Yes, I am needy, too, in my own way. Not like those women. I like Carly, no matter who plays her.

Rick is sick, sick, sick, but that is a staple type soap character, and Rick Hearst does it well. I like looking at him.

I agree on most of these points! I really can't stand Sam....but she kinda reminds me of Brenda...thinking she's tough and all, but really not. I perferred Sam was she was the tough, salvage girl...not the mellow, wussy love girl.

I also enjoy looking at Ric. I just really wish he could be a nice guy. I mean, I accept the show needs a baddy, and Sonny's gotten too nice most of the time to fill this role. I like Sonny better now, though, then in year's past.

Kinda changing subject, but do you think Ned/Jerry might be coming back?

I used to like Ric, but it seems like the writers are making him worse and worse. Sometimes it just seems like it's done as a way of detracting the heinous stuff that other people do on GH so let's mainly focus on Ric's sins. I wouldn't mind if they put Liz back with him since she's been really obnoxious on her honesty high horse. We know that Sonny is importing something illegal, but we know it's not weapons or drugs. So what the heck is left bootlegged PS 3s? I know that has nothing to do with anything, but it still annoys me.

Sam trying to act like she was molested by Ric was really weak and started to make a lot of Jasam fans turn on her.

I don't know about Jerry, but Ned has been on occasionally working without a contract. There are rumblings that Vanessa Marcil may return if Las Vegas gets canned. Scott Baldwin is set to return and Genie Francis may return for a longer gig. I don't even want to mention about what is supposed to happen to a character who has one of the best soap names ever: Alan Quartermaine.
