My Latest Project - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hey kids, TJL metal artisan here.

Things are a little slow at work this week, so I decided to get a little arty and make something for my friend Pete and Heather, who just had a baby last month.
They're having a baby shower this weekend (their son was born a little earlier than expected so the shower had to be rescheduled) so I made a little Zodiac plaque with the Virgo symbol.

It's only about 3X5 inches. I though it would make a nice decoration.

Let me know what you think. I still have to buff it a littel more and coat it with some clear paint.

I like it, neat and very unique. The table you showed us a few months ago was very cool too.

Thank you. I would love to make another table, but I haven't been able to find another decent manhole cover.

That is freaking SWEET and definitely something their son will treasure when he gets older, just because of the fact it's so awesome and so kickass.

Hey, you know what would make it even more unique? It's just a thought- I REALLY like the way it looks, it doesn't HAVE to have anything added to it. BUT if you wanted to, you could add the name of the kid and his date of birth somewhere on it.

I'd love to see a pic of the finished product before you give this to the parents.

I am going to try to carve the D.O.B. on the back with one of my air tools.

Here's another one I made up the other day, using the same techniques as the virgo plaque.

This is the "diver," the logo of the Gaf, my bar. If any of you have seen my myspace page, the diver is featured in some photos.

Thank you. I had dinner with a bunch of people Sunday night and my friends Pete and Heather really loved the Virgo plate. I am glad they liked it.

This morning I made one for myself. Sagittarius.
Okay, maybe I;ll give it to this cute Sagittarian that I know.
