Default Baywatch Reruns Back on Local Syndication in Fall 2007

Litton Entertainment and FremantleMedia North America will begin stripping reruns of Baywatch to stations starting in fall 2007.

All 109 hour-long episodes of the babes on the beach series will be offered for a three-year term on a straight barter basis.

The original "Baywatch" is coming back to rerun syndication after a six-year hiatus.

Litton Entertainment, the South Carolina-based TV distributor, will ask TV stations to play the 109 "Baywatch" hours twice a day beginning in fall 2007.

Stations would pay no cash for the episodes, instead giving Litton seven minutes an hour to sell to national advertisers. The stations would keep seven minutes for local sale.

Litton would also reserve the right to hook a cable network into taking two daily runs of "Baywatch" simultaneous with its play on TV stations. The cable deal would be the same: No cash, but seven minutes to Litton. The distributor wants three-year commitments from TV and cable.

Great news. Any idea what NYC local will pick it up? And the time? I know it's too far away for a definate answer, so if you can just give your "Ideas." Thanks Pav.

I don't get the 109 hours thing.
Excluding the Hawaii seasons and including the NBC season 1- there are 198 hours (9 seasons, 22 episodes each).

Certainly and interesting way to deal the show.

This package contains only the episodes with Pamela Anderson. Certainly those were the most popular in the original run, but if stations run the show twice a day, they'll cycle through those 109 shows very quickly.

Pamela Anderson was on the show from 1992 - 1996. Seasons 3 - 7. Which adds up to 109. NBC only had season 1. I remember about 10 years ago or so, Baywatch was rerun weeknights at 1am or so on WTXF FOX 29.
