Default Anyone think this is a good idea to trade?

I purchased 8 TV guides this week. I was thinking I could scan all the pages and make data disks out of them. I think it might do well in trades, and I would always have a back up. They only cost me a few dollars each so It wouln't hurt me bending the pages to scan them. I could either do them as CDs and have individual ones or just burn them as 1 data DVD. Since there are a lot of pages it could take a lot of time, do you all think these would do well in a trade? All but one of them are from the 70's.

I don't know that many people would care about 7 (presumably random) guides.
I started doing complete seasons, but only the primetime listings not the entire guide, and even with that I found out after only a few guides that:
1. it was extremely boring and tedious work
2. it was going to take forever to do
So abandoned the project.

If you do decide to go ahead, I would suggest converting your scans to pdf files for easy reading.

Ok, thinking about it that would be a lot of pages. I might try one and see how long it takes.

hi, you don't want to damage the tv guides in anyway, especially if they are older guides. as you may know, tv guides would have value because of the cover, articles, etc. so you wouldn't want to damage them. as lazygrae stated, a few random eps probably don't have much value scanned. scans of the schedules would have value to traders to see when shows aired, episode titles, etc. on one of the boards i participate on, i think there is one trader that has scans of tv guide schedules. just my 2 cents. thanks

Just scan the Cheers and Jeers, but at really high resolution.

That was always my favorite part when I was visiting friends growing up. Never felt deprived at home.
