Yes, another question. Although I didn't care for the later episodes at the time, the chances are great that I will probably never see them again. How did they write Alex off the show? Did somebody adopt him or did family come and get him. I thought maybe his mother came after him.

In 1983, Alex (played by Glenn Scarpelli) moved to Chicago to be with his mother.

The only problem with along with others on the show was that this stuff was done offscreen like the death of Alex's father or Julie not saying goodbye to the family when she moved to Texas.

I always thought it peculiar that after his father's death that Ann just adopted him when his mother was still alive. But this was TV and not reality. He was an annoying character anyway and not an original cast member, so no loss.
