Actually, the girls were both 15 when they were with the show. They were six months apart. Mac was a 50's baby while Val was a 60's baby. 1959 and 1960. Two spanning decades! LOL.

The pilot episode was taped on June 28, 1975. Bonnie was 31 and both girls
were 15.
