Default New Tony Dow Podcast Interview

Hey everyone,

I thought you might be interested in an interview I did with Tony Dow a few days ago for my pop culture podcast "Just My Show." If you'd like to hear it, you can head over to my web site...

www.justmyshow.com (main page)

Here's the direct link to Tony's interview.

(You do not need an iPod to hear the interview. You can listen right on the site. You may also download an MP3 if you prefer.)

Keep an ear open for a mention of this message board during the interview! Hope you enjoy it.

Everyone should check this out. I have a dial up connection and it played perfectly.

Great interview! And he does sound exactly the same!

The interview is about 24 minutes long, and the interviewer came up with some great questions. Well worth listening to!

Hey Justmyshow,

That was a good interview with Tony Dow. I wish, though, you would've asked him about his dates, particularly Mary Ellen Rogers, played by Pamela Beaird. She didn't appear much in the series, but the name Mary Ellen Rogers was mentioned quite a bit by his buddies and also Beav.

I think Pamela did a great job playing the part. Unfortunately, nothing is available anywhere about her. It seems that after LITB and a few other appearances in other shows, she disappeared into thin air.

Maybe you have some info about her you could share?

Like me, there are several others in this forum who would like to know more about Pamela. She appeared to be about Tony's age, so she's now in her early to mid 60s. Hopefully a happy grandma.

Anyway, if you have anything about her, please share it with us, or you can email me at: coolfocus@yahoo.com

Thanks, and keep up the good work!

Default Tony Dow

Yep,

He sounds just the same as he did when I was a kid. On another thread, I mentioned that I was in the US Navy with Jay North. Having grown up in LA, I met several TV & movie actors in everyday life including James "Scotty" Doohan who I used to camp out with in the YMCA Indian Guides. Anohter one of them was Tony Dow, who lived two blocks from my house in Van Nuys.

I was his paperboy, delivering the Valley News and Greensheet, and Tony lived in the 'Private Drive' as we called it. This area, near Burbank and Sepulveda is now demolished and apartment buildings stand on the property.

I would go to his house once a month to collect my whopping $1.25 from 'Wally' and he was just a regular guy, not pretentious at all, and usually quite affable and gracious.

The days of my youth gone by.....

Thanks for posting Just My Show with Tony Dow. Growing up watching Beaver, was great. Just listening to the interview, with that calm voice,it's like being there with him. Time can't change everything.
