Default Name the Interstate Highway route number

In this game, only the thread starter can give the questions(me! JNSBSB). I'll name a feature or a beginning and end feature/point and you'll answer which Interstate highway number it is. It's simple(or hard, depending) and fun, too.

Here's the first question for this fun game.

-In the west, it begins at an interchange with another Interstate Highway in the middle of nowhere and finally ends in the Eastern US inside a Park and Ride Lot. Clue: It also has the most tunnels along its routing and is also the highest Interstate/freeway in America.

Anyone care to answer?

When you say "highest", do you mean in altitude or number? I'm thinking I-40, it interchanges with I-15, it starts in Barstow, CA, and that's pretty much the middle of nowhere!!

Wrong!

But highest does mean in altitude. And it's easternmost pavement ends dead into a Park and Ride lot. Which route number is it?

I-70? Duh, I was just out there!! It also interchanges with I-15 in the middle of nowhere. The altitude is high, in fact, that road sucks through Utah & Colorado!! And I think it ends near Baltimore so it would make sense that it ends into a Park & Ride lot.

Correct-o-mundo!

And how could you say that road sucks through Utah and Colorado? The scenery on I-70 in those 2 states rocks. Especially in utah where it threads through what I'd like to call Road Runner and Wiley Coyote country. The ride through Glenwood Canyon and up Vail Pass also rocks. Now wintertime in those areas is a different story. LOL

Well, that was the thing is it did snow in Vail, the interstate was closed for a while, and a bunch of us had to wait it out. I do agree with you about the scenery, it was awesome!!

Let's see, without consulting an atlas

A. I-90 MA NY PA OH IN IL WI MN SD MT ID WA 12
B. I-80 NJ PA OH IN IL IA NE WY UT NV CA 11
C. I-10 FL AL MS LA TX NM AZ CA 8
D. I-95 ME NH MA RI CT NY NJ PA DE MD VA NC SC GA FL 15

2. Name two odd-numbered interstate routes(North-South) that are signed as East/West.

Lightbulb

Here are my answers:

1. E. I-10 in Texas. It's about 880 miles in the Lone Star State from the Sabine River (where it meets Louisiana) to El Paso (where it meets New Mexico).

2. I-69 in Michigan between Lansing and Port Huron is one. I cannot think of another one, except possibly I-75 between Miami and Fort Myers, Florida.
