I can see Luke and Lor getting back together either during February sweeps or else in the last episode. If this season is the last, I would have preferred if this season was leading up to the wedding, because this way, there may not even be a wedding -_-

Their's an article in this weeks tv guide stating that David Sutcliffe is going to be a regular for the first 13 episodes and it says he'll be a major presence on the show this season as they develop their relationship.. It also says they're in talks about him making some more appearances during the final 9 shows.

SPOILER Alert:

It says that in November Christopher and Lorelai are planning a trip to Paris.

They're going to drive the rest of the fans away with this story. I can't believe they're doing this.

yeah, I read that David was in talks for the back 9 episodes too. So that means he'll be in ever episode this season...

I just don't get it. They know most of the fans want to see Lorelai and Luke together . It's like they're saying who cares what you want.

exaclty. I guess Lor and Luke could get back together mid way through the season, and Chris could be trying to win her back for the other half of the season...but that really wouldn't work as a storyline.

Given Lorelai and Christopher's history together, you know somewhere down the line thngs will go bad.

Actually, that's been Lorelai's story with every guy she has dated on the show, but you know what i mean.

As Superstar said, I'm sure the sweeps periods will play into this: Christoper and Lorelai will probably be kaput by the November sweeps, and Luke will be back in the picture by Feb.

I'm just hoping that they DO get back together in Feb. It would suck if they got back together in the last episode, and we didn't get a wedding

ditto. This season could end up being a really good one, or it could just be a mess.

gotta give the new writers credit though, they're having to clean up the sh*t left behind by the other writers... it was them that made Lorelai sleep with Chris, so they are having to clean up a mess before we can see what they bring to the table. I'll give 'em a chance (*SPOILER*).......... but from reading, Luke has a fling sometime too this year (with April's swim coach!)

Ditto, they have their work cut out for them

But, yeah, your right about the last writers leaving a mess behind them. I read an article about the new season the other day, and the writer of the article made it sound like Amy and Dan purposely made a mess of the storyline, just to make to more difficult for the new writers. I don't really believe they would sink that low though.
