you would think the writers would have given Janet(Lawson) a different last name, since Rollo Larson was still a regular character on the show...hmmm

looked it up, and you are right Larson was Rollo's last name. They never really pronounced the "R" so it sounded like Lawson. Still, why give a new character such a similar sounding name?

The difference in the Janet's son's age has always been baffling to me. We he proposed the kid was a young teenager but later on they changed and made him into a little kid.

Fred: "If you are looking for a kindly old grandfather....turn on the Walton's."

Fred: "If you disturb me from my sleep, this kindly old grandfather will turn into a wicked witch with a switch and heat up your rear end."

If Rollo and Janet were brother and sister, and Janet married Lamont, Fred and Rollo would be related by marriage.

Rollo would be his son's (Lamont) brother-in-law.

Lawson was Janet's first husband's name so Rollo would only be related to her husband.......
