There were a couple of times where JJ saved/helped people.......................

1.He saved that guy from killing himself............................He wouldn't let that guy sleep.(because if he ahd, the guy would have died).....................

2.He got Penny money for bus fare and it was because of him she got close to the Evans-Woods family and got saved from her abusive mother.

3.He slapped the money out of Edna's hands, and Willona took the gun. If J.J hadn't slapped the money out of edna's hands, the sisters would have left with the $2500(well Michael and thelma helped too)................................

4. J.J got the family out of the poorhouse with his new job........................ J.J took the job so that Thelma wouldn't have to drop out of school.(though it backfired on him when Florida found out about his job).

5.(This is connected to number 2). When he saw Penny in the closet, he didn't say a word to Mrs. Gordon(when Mrs. Gordon, Penny's mother, was looking for her)......................

6. JJ helps Sweets get a blood transfusion (thanks Moeee)!:-D

I thought about that, but decided to leave that out since he was FORCED to get Sweets a blood transfusion..............................

You could still include it. He still helped somebody whether he was forced or not.

Those stories did show another side to JJ, that he wasn't a screw-up ALL the time.

When I posted that post, I hadn't watched the whole episode. I didn't realize that JJ had a chance to drop out and let Sweets die for $25,000 dollars(or $2,500, whatever it was), and he refused to do it and went through with the blood donating. Sweet's right -hand man told JJ to let Sweets die and he would pay JJ a lot of moeny. JJ said, "No way!" and told Sweets what was going on, and Sweets was not happy and the right-hand man was punished.............So, JJ was a savior for that reason too.
