I haven't seen anything about this show on the boards, so I thought that I would start up a thread about it.
Here's the rundown: Nine people are held hostage for 52 hours in a bank robbery and the show revolves around what happens AFTER the hostage situation and where their relationships go. We are going to learn more about the hostage situation and the background of the characters little by little during each episode, ala Lost. There are some cool clips here: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=ABCPrimeTime And you can also find some clips for other ABC shows that are new like Six Degrees (one of my faves) and Knights of Prosperity! Has anyone heard about the show?? Thoughts/comments? |

I watched The Nine, and I thought it was fantastic. It's great seeing Tim Daley again. Kim Raver plays the lawyer. I was surprised to see her as she's a main cast member of 24, and they didn't write her off the show.
I was very happy to see Tom Verica back. He was great as the father on American Dreams. The plot possibilites are endless for this show. It's on my must-see list now. I also see the similiarities to Lost. |

Kim Raver actually has spoken about her double roles on both shows...saying that she will be on them as long as she can, moreso in terms of 24, where I would imagine that she is going to get written off at some point soon. She isn't going anywhere from this show as far as I can tell.
Daley is fantastic on this show!! It's great to finally see him on a successful show and in a role that suits him well also! Last night's show actually got cut off for me, so I am going to have to re-watch some of it online today..but I am excited to see how it ended! |

I thought the pilot episode was OK, but last night was GREAT! Now, I'm hooked. Reminded me of Lost (the flashbacks) and Grey's Anatomy (with the medical scenes) last night...

I was going to watch it, because I'm a fan of Tim Daly's, but it's on opposite CSI:NY, and I LOVE that show, so maybe I'll catch The Nine later if it survives the year.

I'm getting into it. I just wish the ratings were better.

I think ABC might be mulling an idea of swapping slots for The Nine/Six Degrees, but that might not happen right away because of the potential Grey's Anatomy-Six Degrees cross-over coming soon (if it is happening).

Interesting note, I hadn't heard anything of that nature...I wonder what people would think of that. I love both shows and have been watching them since they begun, so switching them wouldn't really affect me. Only note though is that it would seem that changing them would vary the audiences that you are bringing in somewhat, just because Grey's seems to be somewhat similar in vein or in spirit to Six Degrees and Lost to The Nine...
I am really excited to keep on hearing about this cross-over between Grey's and Six Degrees so I hope that happens! |

I'm starting to love this show. Very good character development. Tim Daley, totally underrated actor. He belongs on the big screen.
Does anyone think that Franny is involved? (hope I have her name right). Egan is a scream with his midlife crisis. |
