I ordered the Alice DVD and got it yesteday. I have watched Flo's Farewell several times now, and I still get kinda choked up when I see Mel cry. I know that in real life he and Polly Holliday were very close. I remember watching it before, but now I know that it was caused by Linda Lavin's jealousy. It's sad to think that 4 years ended like that. The show was still good after Polly Holliday left, but it wasn't the same. I don't like that they never mention Flo again.

Yeah, they're all good episodes. All from 76-80. I wish they would have put the pilot episode on there, though. I'd like to see that one uncut.

I also got the Alice Favorites DVD and there should be more than 6 episodes on it. But there's enough good episodes on there to justify several seasons coming out on DVD not just 1.
I mean look at all the crappy shows you've never even heard that are already out on DVD!!! WHAT ON EARTH IS HOLDING UP ALICE??? |

I'm looking forward to a possible Alice set release, but I'm glad they are putting out One Day at a Time.

I don't remember much about ONE DAY AT A TIME..I know my mom hated it (I was only 7 when the series started) so I never really got to watch it...might buy the DVD just to see it. |
