Hey fans i got anoter email from wgn concerinning happy days and it says
For the time being, that's correct. Syndicated shows are edited by their distributors because less commercials air during primetime, when the shows originally aired. George i guess they no longer show happy days anymore there contracks must have ranout |

According to the text of the last e-mail you posted, they only ran out of plays for the timebeing. I read in another post on this board that the contract doesn't expire for quite some time.

Here's the thing: Happy Days' runtime in its original airing is about 25 minutes. The syndicated shows run about 22m and change. What's funny is that today's primetime comedies I've timed at about 22 minutes, and sadly, they'll probably cut down even more for syndication. Imagine 10 minutes of commercials in a 30 minute sitting... just too sad. Thank god for TV on DVD, where the studios restore every minute.
