hehe ok guys sorry if it seems I post too much about Harry Potter..but I've decided I might be Hermione for Halloween (yes i still go trick or treating...I love candy..) and I was wondering how to pronnounce it. I've always thought it was Herm-e-o-knee or somethin like that. my friend says it's Her-my-o-ny. Do any of you guys have a clue..?

I've always sait it "Her-Moine" like her + des moines - des....but everyone says I'm wrong and you know what, I probably am.

Hermione for Halloween...what a great idea! Favorite character, huh? She's second only to Ron, for me.
I would dress up as someone from Harry Potter, but I'd be too embarrassed( I'm sort of a 'closet' fan. People still know I love it though...).
Anyway, it's HER-MY-UH-KNEE. And you sort of drop the UH, it's sort of silent. In Goblet of Fire, Hermione herself tells Viktor Krum how to say it. I know there's pronounciation site for Harry Potter somewhere...I can't remember though.
Sorry, now I'm just rambling...I guess you just struck my topic of choice...

me too!! I have pronounced it like that from the start. All my friends make fun of me lol cuz I say it like that
