Default Why was David on this show???

There were no other kids at all and he just seemed to be in the way all the time. They could have just had Ann and Jeffery married with no kids like the Ropers. What did this show need David for?-lol

On George and Mildred he had a bigger role. Some of the plots even revolved around him. Stanley seemed to have him on his side sometimes, I liked that.

I thought the episode where Stanley gave him beer was pretty funny.

I agree with you Solomon. He was in the way. I guess the producers felt that the show needed a cute factor.

He was kind of in the way, but I liked him--possibly more than the show itself!

...But you are wrong. Evan Cohen played David on The Ropers and is almost two years older than Danny Cooksey, who played Sam on Diff'rent Strokes. When The Ropers premeired Danny was three.

He wasn't saying that the guy who played David was SAM from Different Strokes, he was saying that her reminded him of Sam.

You are beyond belief.

...is what MikeL said. That's a pretty straightforward and unambiguous statement about what MikeL thinks in reply to your statement. Look at it again:
Quote:
Research Analyzer (or w/e): He reminded me of Sam from Different Strokes
MikeL: i think it was him
It would have been abundantly easy to simply say "me too," if that's what he meant, but he didn't...because it isn't.

He was the kid with the obligatory bowl haircut that seemed to be in style on all sitcoms at the time.

Nicholas on Eight is Enough

That kid on Different Strokes

The one on Gimme a Break

The little brother on Family Ties....etc. ....etc....

I could've done without all of them!....Especially the original bowl head and worst of them all......OLIVER ON THE BRADY BUNCH!

I liked what David added to the show. He was close to Stanley and he was good at making his father look stupid, I thought he was funny.
