HI GUYS IM NEW HERE AND HAVE NEVER TRADED BEFORE BUT AVE SOME QUESTIONS I WAS HOPING SOMEONE COULD HELP ME WITH?

yesterday i purchased my first dvd recorder yesterday..i hope to transfer my old tapes and then possibly get in trading
anyway here is what i want to know

How do i make menus on the discs?is there a program that i need and if so could you suggest some good programs for doing this.

also if im coping a tape onto a disk and dont finish can i take the disk out before im done.somebody told me it had to stay in until i was finished!

also i read its best not to put more than 4 hrs on a disk for best quality.is this true???

also if anyone has any other advice to offer id gladly accept it.

the recorder is still in box,i havent got the nerve to hook it up yet!lol

Most DVD recorders can make basic menus, but there are programs that make better ones.

As long as you don't finalize the disc, you can record more shows at a later date.

I don't put more than 3 hours of stuff on a disc, but that's just me.

Read the manual about the menu's, then learn to adjust with its strengths and limitations.

The DVD recorder will be the only player/recorder anything that can finalize that disc and manipulate it until it is finalized. I rarely use more than 3 hours as well.
