I believe it was mentioned that Edna left Frank, but I don't think it was ever an episode. A very unlikely write-off if you ask me.

I remember that. She left him a note. He was trying to tell Laverne but she was too excited about appearing with The Spinners, on some TV Show or concert, to listen to him. . Frank was left to babysit a chimp.

I thought they should have had her appear one last time to break up with him in person instead of leaving a note.
