My name is Bob and I'm new to this message board.
I've put together what I call "JACK WEBB'S LOS ANGELES", which lists places
where he lived and worked, as well as where members of the Jack Webb Players lived at. If anyone has any information to offer, please e - mail me

JACK WEBB'S LOS ANGELES - 1920 - 1982
He was born in Santa Monica on April 2, 1920.

PART 1
THE EARLY YEARS
1921 - 1938
3rd AND 237 SOUTH FLOWER - DOWNTOWN LA
THE ST. REGIS APARTMENTS - # 339
Webb was still a baby when he moved into a single room on the third floor with his mother and grandmother.

3rd AND FLOWER STREET
(and 8th AND ST. PERDO STREET)
DOWNTOWN LA
His grandmother managed rooming and apartment houses here.

1938
8th AND ST. PERDO STREET - DOWNTOWN LA
In February, Webb, his mother and grandmother moved from the St. Regis to this two room rooming house above a commercial storage site. Webb was 18.

36th STREET(near Vermont Avenue) - LA
In October the three moved to this two bedroom apartment.

Webb, his grandmother and a friend of his moved into a duplex here.

6th AND MAIN STREET - LA
THE U.S. NAVY AND AIR4 CORPS RECRUITING CENTER
It was at this recruiting center that Webb enlisted in the Army
Air Corp.

In 1958 Webb married actress Jackie Loughery. To celebrate their first wedding anniversary he built this large house. It had a
swimming pool with a large water fountain in it. Down the street
lived Julie London and husband Bobby Troup.

9102 HAZEN DRIVE - BEVERLY HILLS
I have no information on when Webb lived here except that it was in the 1960s. Any information would be appreciated.

4233 NAVAJO STREET - TOLUCA LAKE
Webb is said to have lived here at one time.

9255 DOHENY (at Sunset Blvd) - BEVERLY HILLS
THE SIERRA TOWERS APARTMENTS - #2604
Webb built his spacious apartment by joining two top floor condos with a large spiral staircase, which he referred to as his
"Stairway To Heaven". One section was the living area and the
other was the private quarters. He moved here in 1980 with his last wife, Opal Gates. He died here on the morning of December 23, 1982. Across the street was one of his favorite bars,
The **** 'N' Bull.

When Webb first brought "Dragnet" to television in the 1950s,
he filmed it here.

4024 RADFORD AVENUE - STUDIO CITY
REPUBLIC STUDIOS (now CBS Studio Center)
Webb's Mark VII offices were in a $450,000, two story complex. The interior was decorated in an Early American style with much of the furniture designed by actor George Montgomery. Mark VII's suite included Webb's impressive office, a cork paneled office and a private, plush apartment that had a kitchen, dining alcove and dining room.
