Netflix, video store, On Demand... or do you buy them? I used Netflix for about four years off and on, but gave it up when they started in with the throttling.
I rent my movies at a Mom & Pop video store near my home. We also order them from Comcast On Demand every now and then. I have to be wild over a movie to buy it. I have no interest in a movie library. |

I have a large movie library. I buy them, tape them off the movie channels and also On-Demand.

I get most of my movies from Netflix. I also watch free movies on Demand, and on the movie channels. I haven't been to a video store in months. With Netflix I just haven't had any reason to. I'm like you Janice when it comes to buying a DVD. I have to really love it before I'll even consider buying it.

Same here
I started using Netflix two weeks ago and I find it amazing (then again, I am a new customer ). Once in a while, I'll flip on my HBO on Demand and find a movie there I want to watch. I rarely rent from video stores anymore.Quote:

I'm renting from Netflix, it's really convenient for me as I work alot of hours and don't have time or feel like going out to rent a movie. I'll also buy movies from Target, Amazon, or deepdiscountdvd.com. If I really like the movie from Netflix, then I'll buy it. I have a big library and now I have to watch what I buy.

My roommate belongs to Blockbuster Online, so we always have a few movies to choose from during the week.
Sometimes I will actully go to the Blockbuster store and rent something. It's only a couple of blocks away. |

I buy used DVD's from a local ebgames store in my neighborhood.
Most of the DVD's are in good shape (cleaned, not a lot of scratches). And other times, i buy most of them from Amazon.com |

I'm kind of a snob - the only movies I watch via Comcast on Demand are the HD ones. Even when I had a standard TV, I couldn't stand to watch a cropped movie. Now that I have a high-definition TV, it's even more aggravating to watch a movie that's in 4:3, taking up only the center of my screen, when I know that the film in its OAR would not only look a lot better, but take up my whole screen.
I usually buy the movies I want, usually from Best Buy or Amazon. |

I can't even remember the last time I actually bought a movie.
All of my DVD purchases over the past few years have been TV shows |
