Anybody have The Lawrence Welk show 1955-1982?
I used to watch it with my grandmother. Memories... -OR- Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom with Marlon Perkin and his sidekicks, Jim Fowler and Stan Brock [TV-Series 1963-1988] Doesn't have to be complete, Just looking for a few episodes. Thanks |

My PBS airs Lawrence Welk, I'll try to record you some. It only airs one a week though
•The Lawrence Welk Show - "Roses" WCVE, Sat Sep 16 07:00pm EDT •The Lawrence Welk Show - "Mancini-Mercer" WCVE, Sat Sep 23 07:00pm EDT I don't understand original airdate on those because I have seen one with Roy Rogers and he wasn't in 2005. |

Didn't I read somewhere that some episodes of Wild Kingdom were being released in retail? Man, I loved that show as a kid! And I have to admit I watched Lawrence Welk religiously as a kid - even had the Lennon Sisters paper doll set ... fun family viewing.

Sure does bring back memories. Before it was called Wild kingdom it's name in the 50's was Zoo parade and it eminated from the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. Then Marlon Perkins was a solo. It aired at 3:00 on Saturday afternoon and was followed by Mutual of Omaha's Flying fisherman show, starring Gaddabout Gaddis as the fisherman. Both were the first of it's type. They went on right after roller derby. Perkins had a low key, very pleasing voice and looked so fatherly with his mop of silver hair. If he said it, well it had to be true.
