Esther Rolle would have been better for the role of Louise Jefferson. I always felt that myself and that the two of them would have had me in the hospital from laughing so hard. Both were very funny and acted very well and would have been a good team. So what do you think?

i dont know i like isable sanford as Louies Jefferson.

Never thought of it before but you might have something there Solomon.

Funny though, once you've grown to know them as the roles they played, I also still like Isabelle a lot.

Put it this way, I liked and could see Isabelle more as Edith's friend when they lived next door to the Bunkers in Queens, but it would have been interesting to see Esther as "Weezie" when they moved to the East Side.

I'm not really saying she should have been Louise Jefferson I'm saying I wished she was Florida Jefferson-lol

I liked Isabel Sanford as Louise. However, I do feel Esther Rolle was a great actress who could have had a long-running, successful series. "Good Times" could have ran for a decade if they had stayed focus on on the original premise of the series.

I agree, I could not imagine Esther Rolle as Louise, Louise had that aire about her, that fit the bill when they appearances started to change. Like the clothes and the Jewels. I just could not see Esther Rolle pulling off the sophisticated role that Isabel was able to do. Don't get me wrong, Esther Rolle is a good actress, I just dont think the Louse role would have been fitting for her
