Default Did the finale left you cold in some way...

All I got was a cold taste in my mouth when I saw the two parter finale...I felt cheated. I knew the show on its last legs then...but still....it should have ended on a higher note.

Yes, I felt cheated in a way. I wanted a real finale, even though we do sort of know the girls were all going off in different directions. Heck, Natalie wasn't even present in the last scene.

The end of Season 8 seems more like a finale to me than the real one does.

Not to mention, I thought the idea of Blair buying Eastland seemed so farfetched. She has just finally decided she wanted to be a lawyer and now was suddenly ditching it to run a school?

I think that the series finale would have been fine if it had been a regular two-part episode, but is was a poor way to end the series.

It was a pilot for a proposed spin-off series starring Blair and it didn't get picked up.

I think most realize that, but it kind of sucks that it sort of gipped a nine year series of an actual finale episode.

I kind of wish if they were going to do that they did a half hour episode for the new series and a half hour to wrap up "Facts".

And Mrs. G should have been there.

Two of the 3 newest Eastlanders in the final 2 eppisodes I didn't even like. Seth "The Dumb***" Green aka Dr. Evil, Jr. and the morosely insane Juliette Lewis. Blossom was the only okay one out of the 3 new Eastlanders Blair was about to control. And the only thing I liked about the series finale was at the very end.

It doesn't make sense to have Juliette Lewis to star in two of the I Love The 80s series. They should have had me, though.

I wish they had the pilot for Blair's spin-off the episode before the last.I still can't belive we were cheated out of a series finale just for a pilot of a show that was never picked up.

I rewatched the two part series finale ("The Beginning of the End" and "The Beginning of the Beginning") just now and I really think it is a good two-part episode. It just isn't the proper way to have ended the series.

The finale was pretty weak. It mostly centered on Blair and that hurt it.

I definitely agree with you on this. No wonder the pilot was a failure.

It didn't make sense really like all of the sudden tootie wants to go away to act and then natalie just goes to soho. Also did anyone have a problem with thw wedding of jo and Rick. It was like tootie was engaged for so long and then within 30 minutes Jo and rick are engaged than married

Yeah, it would have been okay if Rick was shown more. I wasn't against the concept of Jo getting married because she'd always been more a serious relationship person than to date several men at once type person like Blair.

But Rick made all of like two appearances prior to the wedding episode and one of them was prior to them even dating. Then there is an engagement and marriage all within 20 something minutes? Then Rick leaves and Jo stays behing for the rest of the season while he is on tour?

It always seemed weird to me that if they wanted to marry somebody off they didn't just go for Tootie since she was already engaged. Maybe they thought a Jo wedding would be unexpected and more of an attention grabber. Did they not remember she had like two wedding attempts already prior to that?
