Default Character you disliked the MOST? Vivian or Mrs. Nagatuck or BOTH? lol

I'm saying Both, I hated looking at these characters when I watched Maude. I think I hate the maid a litle more.

Well, it's been almost twenty years since I can remember a Mrs. Naugatuck episode, so I can't say. When I do see Hermoine Baddely in an old rerun of something I enjoy her acting. I still don't think I've seen enough episodes with Viv really yet to make a decision. . The Viv character looked like she was 70 years old and not funny like Blanche Devereaux on Golden Girls. Viv was a bit annoying and whiny.

Mrs. Naugutuck was a drunk old biddy and Viv was sort of dim-witted but neither of them got on my nerves the way Phillip did when Brian Morrison was playing him. He had some weird hairstyle in one episode, it looked like he was wearing a flip. It looked like a girl's hairstyle.

Yes, Arthur was pretty annoying.

Actually Arthur was my least favorite, King. Rue's character on the show was dull though-so she's #2

Vivian grates on my nerves; I can't stand her shrill voice and her ditzy ways. I have a tough time believing that she's Maude's "best" friend, they're not at all alike.

I'm not fond of Carol, either; I don't like her personality, and her looks are irrelevant, to me. (She REALLY irritates me in "Maude's Dilemma, but I'm sure there's a better thread for discussion of that.)

Vivian wasn't as bad as Mrs. Nagutuck

Ah, but I disagree, Philly, although I know it's all a matter of personal preference, here. Mrs. N. is funny. Vivian is simply annoying and feather-brained, and I happen not to find such types of characters funny ... Chrissy on Three's Company, Kelly on Married with Children, etc. all stupid and tiresome.

Maude is reasonably bright, so what does she find to like so in Vivian? Is it just that they've been friends since college?
