The tragedy that struck our nation Tuesday, September 11th, left 4,700+ dead in just the World Trade Center alone. Not to mention all the people who died in the attack on the Pentagon and the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania. I truly believe that most of the people who died in the attack were not saved. I'm a die hard Christian and I hope that you can tell by the way that I act. I was saved when I was five and then I wandered from God over the course of the years. I started going to a local Youth group and I was saved again and I've found a new peace and hope in Jesus Christ. When I check this board every day, it makes me scared to think that there are so many people that I won't be spending eternity with. I urge you to tap down into your deepest soul and find God there. Go to church, go up to the altar and invite Jesus into your heart. Then live to serve him. Only live to serve him. He loves you. A lot of people will read this and scoff but I'm serious. Allow me to quote a little bit from the Bible.

"There will be wars and rumors or wars."
"Isreal will be attacked."
"One nation will seige against a more powerful nation."

People, wake up to what's going on around you. There's a timeline... It all adds up. The second coming is right around the corner and if you're not ready you're going to be left behind. Please, please, respond to this and tell me what you honestly think or
e-mail me if you prefer. I want you to know God. I want you to find the peace on the inside that I have. So, kick me off the board if you want, and close all of my topics, this is not a joke. Laugh if you want. But... whatever you choose to do, have a nice eternity where ever you choose to spend it.

Amen, Kenzie! I've been wanting to do a topic like this, but I wasn't sure exactly what to say. Thank you for doing this! Too many people don't know about Christ and with these recent events, it really brings the length of life in perspective.

People, time is running out. Christ's second coming and rapture of His church could happen at any moment, are you prepared? I, too, urge you to examine your life. What are you living for? Are you truly happy where you are? Would you have an answer if someone asked you the meaning of life? You can have purpose, you're not worthless. God loves you. You may be laughing, but we're just trying to warn you. I have confidence in where I'm going after I die, do you? I know I'm going to spend eternity with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and all my brothers and sisters in Him. Man, it's gonna be a blast, huh, Kenzie? With you and D and me and others I know who are Christians. Please, pick up a Bible, go to a church, ask some Christian friends or teachers you might have. I can't stress the urgency of this enough. You might not have as long as you think.

I don't know. I just don't believe that just because I don't go to the alter, or the fact that I'm not a "die-hard" Christian means that I'm going to be "left behind". That's not being optimistic, now is it?
I have faith, but I just don't understand it fully, and I don't really have an idea of where "to put it". When I do come to understand, I'll be okay, just like every other good soul in the world.

I agree with Cokies and if the 'preachers' on the board would study their bibles they would see that it discourages heavy-handed preaching.

I just wanted to say, that I have gotten great comfort from a few verses in the bible this past week. As it happens, it is the same verses that Lisa posted in her Journal yesterday and I thought I would post it here.

I'm not religious, I don't believe in Jesus and I've never read the Bible (apart from when I was forced to at school) and that doesn't make me a bad person, nor does it mean I'm going to hell!
I find the whole idea of organised religion a lot more frightening than any threats of World War or Armageddon. You sound like you've been brainwashed and I feel kinda sorry for you cos you've worked yourself up into a frenzy for nothing. The events of the past week were truly devastating but IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD! Nor is it the start of World War 3!
There have been many millions of wars throughout the ages - there is a war going on somewhere in the world EVERY day - and yet our planet is still in one piece. And it will still be in one piece many, many years from now.
You are grossly overreacting and I hope you can come to realise this yourself before you waste the rest of your life cowering in your basement waiting for Armageddon!

Frist of all, no one was forced to read this topic, so I don't see HOW anyone was "subjected to" listening to preaching. Second of all, I don't understand how this is an "inapproiate" BOARD to post it on, since it's called "Chit-Chat" and it's where we talk about things that aren't about sitcoms. I believe religion falls under that category.

Third of all, I have been saved and I am a Christian but I do not think that whoever started this approached it in the right way. You do not go up to someone and say "The world will end one day and if you're not saved you'll be left behind." I think everyone should find a religion they believe is right (or no religion at all, if that suits them), and if that's what they believe, so be it. I myself question God's existence sometimes, especially with all that's happened this past week. That doesn't make me a bad person, or even a bad Christian. I may end up in hell, I may end up in heaven, I may end up somewhere else entirely. Which is why I'm spending my life enjoying what little time on earth I'll have rather than worry about what will happen to me when I die.

I, myself, don't believe in pushing my religion on people. I see nothing wrong with witnessing to them. And there is a difference there. I dont think that anyone that was witnessing to peeps on here was out of line or said anything too pushy.

I too am a Christian. This very well could be the point leading up to the rapture. But then again it may not. No one knows that for sure except God Himself. I feel good to know that me Kenzie, Sue z q, and some of the others have that wonderful promise of living in heaven for eternity with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

That's all I have to say now.

I think you should take Teddys_Angel_Jinny seriously. It's true. My grandma says it's a sign that the end times are coming very close. This is very serious and IT'S true. I'm a christian and it is NOT a religion, It's a realationship with God. My grandma is really a true christian (I don't really know how to put it) I mean, Some of you say that you go to church. That's good but did you repent, except Jesus as your lord and savior, that he's real and he die on the cross? I know this might sound a little creepy to you but this is all true. I didn't want to post something like this because I thought it would be against the law, which isn't really fair. I mean I really think you should listen to Teddys_Angel_Jinny, she IS telling the truth. I'm young and just learning but this is very very true. My parents and grandma told me all about this. You might not be able to understand me but THIS IS VERY TRUE. You may not believe me what most of you think. Just think. What if you were in that building, Not to say that I want you to but listen, do you know where you would go. Everyone, Jesus died on the cross and saved you all from going straight to hell. You all have a choice. You were all given a chance. Everyone has heard of this before but some of you don't take it seriously because you are scared and you want to do what you want to do. I tell you this isn't a religion and being a Christian isn't like cleaning yourself everytime you pray , IT IS NOT LIKE THAT. All you have to do is except that Jesus is real and that he died on the cross to save us, which is very true. All you have to do is to do that. then read the bible everyday and go to church. Not once a month but everytime. It says in the bible: don't fail to assemble yourself in chruch, It may not be the exact words but I'm learning. This isn't going to like ruin everything that you want to do. Once you get born again you feel different and much better. Once you pray you'll have your prayers answered. It might take long but It'll happen. Ok This is what I have to say. I hope you've all taken this seriosly, because it is.
