Default Florence just didn't understand how to DATE-lol

She goes to a dating service saying-"I"m looking for a HUSBAND-lol Then the guy at the dating service had to tell her-"We don't use that word around here" and Florence says why? And the guy says-"well you know you are looking for a husband and I know that but the guy you are going on a date with doesn't have to know that" So the guy from the dating service comes over and right away Florence askes him-"Do you want kids? I would have said-"Have a good night" And why was she so concerned about having a family anyway and already she was in her mid 40's???-lol Her time had alreadty passed anyway

Florence did mention after Jenny and Lionel had their baby that her time clock was ticking away... a woman can have a baby as long as she still has her cycle. It may not be wise considering the health risks, but it is possible as long as she continues to have her cycle.

She was desperate to want to have a husband and family...that desperation showed definitely in that episode! not the one where she had the guy spend the night.

That would be a turn-off to anyone, male or female.

I don't understand people who go to dating services anyway...

I have had conversations with men who asked silly questions right off the bat. Like I said Solomon, it's not a woman thing. Females and males are prone to doing such things. You are a man, you deal with only females on dates. Me, being a woman, I have dealt with men. I highly doubt you have been on a date with a man and been asked silly questions...

Yeah u are right that men ask silly questions but I just didn't think that many men were in a rush to have a family life. But like u said I'm not on dates with men so maybe some are-lol

The operative word here is "young"...of course a young guy isn't going to ask those questions. I thought we were talking abt older men here... Solomon is 31 and I am 41...after my divorce at 31, the dating scene was with men who were at least 38, the oldest being 43...the exception was one...but that was for fun.

Even older men don't ask if they want kids and to be married. If they do, they are just covering up what they really want and that is booty.

A real man would know how to get that without asking those questions...

Besides, men don't ask in the manner that Florence did. They do it in a subtle way. The way Florence asked was PURE DESPERATION.

And Solomon's point was that "real men" wouldn't act that way.

Sure they do. Some would ask those questions (not like Florence) for the reasons of wanting to know...some older men do have kids and are divorced, they may want to know what kind of lady he is dating, what potential is there. I am only talking abt older men because the question is being asked abt Florence, who was no spring chicken...therefore, I am sticking with men of that age bracket. Real OLDER MEN, sorry to blow your guys' bubble, but they do and have asked questions pertaining to marriage and kids. It is not a turn-off (to me it wasn't), it is just conversation and getting to know someone. Of course, they are questions that weren't asked on a FIRST DATE either.
