My recollection is Florence and Louise didn't appear again after that.

They had to show Weezie again so George can taljk about his time with his old girlfriend. I know there is a tag scene on the DVD. CBS would not end a episode like that

I kept thinking abt this today and I am almost 100 percent positive it ended that way. I know that it seems odd, but that is my recollection. I even asked my boyfriend when he called me on his lunch (that's how much i was thinking abt it...LOL) and he says he remembers no tag scene.

Irene stop letting TV LAND take over your MInd-lol CBS would never ever end a episode like that without have Louise hear how the Evening went with George and his Old Girlfriend. That's way too incomplete and please don't let TV LAND make you believe that is the REAL ENDING-lol

Considering that there were no tag scenes after the first couple seasons I highly doubt that this show had one (this episode is from 1984). I've seen this in syndication and it ends with the woman leaving the ap't. The ending is quite effective as is. There are a lot of episodes that ended without a crisp neat wrap up resolution. Another episode like this is Ebony and Ivory- the first episode with Jessica- it ends with Louise and Jessica going off to play ball instead of Jessica playing in the recital and George is left up on stage stalling the audience talking about dry cleaning processes. The writer and director credits occur over the scene and there is no audience applause or the usual scene of the lake in Central Park.

The way TV LAND edits episodes, I won't believe that's the ending it until that season comes out on DVD or if I received the CBS episode in the mail.

I have that episode on one of my Columbia House videos, and it did NOT have a tag scene.
