George, Louise and Tom all gained weight during the run of the series. Helen still remained glamorous and petite. Jenny got more attractive as the years went especially when she styled her hair better.

I only wish Tom would had some backbone to stand up to Helen. She ruled him. He was a henpecked husband straight up. Helen was the more domineering one in that relationship.

In the 83-84 season you can clearly see Franklin Cover lost a lot of weight. I almost didn't recognize him when watching those episodes yesterday. We had talk of this in 2002:

Helen had him in control. So much so it was pathetic. In the earlier seasons Tom was more of a solid character who could be funny without being a dolt but over time he became such a cartoon character.
