Question Any problems behind the scenes?

Any contract disputes, walkouts...did the actors get along? Did any of the actors miss any shows due to problems? The show was on the air, for 11 seasons...I think. That's a long time. I never heard any bad press, aside from Mike Evans leaving.

I think Mike Evans leaving and the death of Zara Cully were the two major problems of the show. I could be wrong though.

I remember this intreview Franklin Cover had a few years ago on this "TV Guide" Show. It showcased actors and actress telling stories behind the scenes of shows. Anyway, Franklin Cover talked about the Jeffersons, and he stated that the kids from Diff'rent Strokes were making more money than him and Roxie Roker.

The only real problem behind the scenes was after season 1 when Mike Evans went to Norman Lear and said-"How can get of this show?-LOL

There were rumors that Isabel and Marla didn't get along.

I agree. I mean, I "hear" a lot of stuff too, but I like to inquire with those who may know.

Sherman wasn't present at either of those, which bothers me.

I have no idea about the funeral. The memorial service was held a month or so after Isabel's funeral. It was open to the public, and that was where Marla mentioned in her speech that Sherman wasn't there [at the memorial service]. Isabel's funeral was private (which I didn't like- I really wish that her family would have let the world mourn the loss of Isabel together), but they were two separate events. Sherman also wasn't in attendance when Isabel got her star on the Walk of Fame.
